NemaTrident F

Call
Call

NemaTrident is a range of beneficial entomopathogenic nematodes developed for targeted control of key soil-dwelling pests of sports and amenity turf - along with specific tools and agronomic strategies for consistent and effective results.

S. feltiae is highly active in moist soils and will seek out leatherjackets that have moved deeper in the soil profile in cooler conditions or from later crane fly egg hatch. NemaTrident F is the optimum product for use in spring and autumn UK conditions.

To enhance the movement of NemaTrident products into the soil and the targeting of larvae at application, it is recommended to always use it in conjunction with NemaSpreader. The unique dual component system ensures maximum dispersal of infective juvenile nematodes within the soil which then go in search of larvae to penetrate and kill.

As NemaTrident is a biological product, customers should follow specific guidelines for storage, mixing, and application to ensure maximum efficacy. Detailed instructions on getting the best from NemaTrident plus NemaSpreader can be found on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ombGH1V93KA

How to Use

  1. Take NemaTrident F out of the storage fridge 20 minutes before starting the mixing procedure
  2. Dissolve product in 10-20 litres of water
  3. Use complete pack as distribution of nematodes is not homogenous. Rinse the empty pack in the mix
  4. Stir for 5-10 minutes until completely dissolved
  5. Fill the spray tank with 3/4 of the required water volume. Add the NemaSpreader at the rate of 5 litres per hectare
  6. Then add the NemaTrident F solution and top-up with remaining water volume. Maintain constant gentle tank agitation
  7. Spray immediately. Do not store for longer than 4 hours in the spray tank

  • NemaTrident F can be applied in the autumn and spring. For best results, apply in the autumn to smaller larvae, 2 weeks after peak adult flight.
  • Soil temperatures need to be 8˚C or above for 3-6 hours per day for the nematodes in NemaTrident F to be active.
  • Soil moisture is also required for the nematodes to move freely and for larvae to be active close to the surface.
  • NemaSpreader is an essential partner to maintain optimum soil conditions for NemaTrident F activity.
