This usually occurs between April and September and when moisture levels are good. The types of weed and whether it is fine turf (golf and bowls) or outfield (fairways and sports fields) dictates the product to be used. Using a spray marker dye will ensure accurate application avoiding missed areas and possible turf damage due to overlap. Avoid using selective weedkillers in drought or frosty conditions.
